tested the final 5.1.1 on nas WD Myworld book with samsung LE46b750w. the pause/resume works only if the file is renamed
as .mpg from .mkv

The 5.1 rc3 and 5.1.1 version don't address the .mkv and pause issues anyway no problem, if we apply the trick to rename all the file to .mpg now it works. if you go in the twoky menu where devices are listed, can you see the ip address of the mac address of your tv?
if not the tv's lost the lan, so reconfigure tv lan address
if yes you can try to reset the device list in twonky device menu)

There is no mode to retrive the embedded license stored in Mybook.i think, you've to back up the twonkymedia-server.ini and re copy it on new installation.
Also i use twonky + wd mybook & samsung
but decide to purchase another license,

what is the OS? Vista? if is Vista you've to create an Administrator Vista account on the pc to solve this type of problems.
To create see on google (it's a prompt dos instruction). An account with administrator rights in same case it s not enough..

Did you try to downgrade to 4.4.17 or 4.4.18 versions to solve the issues? Actually in the forum we've discovered that this releases are more stable (for example for nas and samsung tv) than 5.x newest ver. Obviouslly we're waiting for a 5.1.1 new release more oriented for the non pc's windows world...

i think that is a codec problem. Your tv not support some of there. Avi is only a container.
The only thing that you can di is to analyze with a pc software (for example divx player) the codec type contained in your avi files
and eventually re-encode the content with the codec that pass this test

As Vincent discovered the trick rename all files video in .mpg this trick works (probably for all NAS and PC) on version 4.4.17 and 4.4.18 (NOT work in rel. 5.0 and above) and samsung latest firmware release (2004) tested xvid/dvx/mpeg/h.264 codecs also in full Hd 1080p and hdready 720p setting Twon...
