Synology 110j with DSM3.0 - Server stops

Postby Haplo » Tue Oct 12, 2010 11:06 pm

Hello,

I upgraded from DSM2.3 to DSM3.0 on my 110j and have a strange problem now. So far I followed the Installation howto installing the server (either latest 5.X or 6.X) into /usr/local/twonkymedia and started it with "/usr/local/twonkymedia/twonkymedia". This worked perfectly fine (automatic restart would be nice but is no requirement).

Doing the same thing with DSM3.0, I reinstalled the server first, starts Twonky and it's working fine, but as soon as I quit the terminal window (putty) the server stops. I treid adding a "&" without success.

If anybody had an idea how to start Twonky as a daemon so it won't quit automatically would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Thorsten

Use the -D option when you start twonkymedia. This will daemonize the process.
