Streaming music plays too fast

Postby chavezac » Fri Nov 04, 2011 9:02 pm

I downloaded the trial version of Twonky mobile v2.1.2-299 and I am able to connect to my LG media player and stream music, however, the music seems to play slightly too fast and has a chipmunk sound to it. Is there any adjustment that can be made to correct this? I am using the following hardware:

Sony Ericsson X10 Mini Pro
Netgear N600 WNDR3700
LG LHB536 home theater system

Please advise if any additional info would be useful.

Adam

Just a quick follow-up... I can do the reverse and access and play the content from my phone on the LG media player using the LG media player interface and it does not have the same "chipmunk" effect. So I have to assume it is the Twonky mobile app that has some compatibility issue with my device.

What type of music files are you trying to stream? This sounds like it is a client/player issue to me. We don't have any control over playback speed/pitch as far as I know.

I am only playing MP3 files. I changed the source to my network share drive (vice using my phone as the source) and received the same off pitch playback. I can play the same files from the network share directly from the LG interface with no issues so I know it is not a file problem.

However, I found I am able to use my PC as the player with my phone as the source and the files play fine, so unfortunately it seems like it is simply a compatibility issue with my LG Home Theater (I also tried a similar product from another developer with the same off-pitch playback). It is too bad because otherwise this software works great.
